Teeth Whitening
The professional team at Woodstock Dental Practice can help you to achieve the bright smile that you have always wanted. Tooth whitening can be a very effective way of whitening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. Your dentist will be able to tell you if your teeth are suitable for the treatment, and will supervise the treatment while you rejuvenate your smile.
Crowns & Bridges
A crown is a type of dental restoration used to fix teeth that have been broken, weakened by decay, or have a large filling. The crown fits over the remaining part of the prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the appearance of a natural tooth. If you have had root canal treatment, you may need a crown to protect the restored tooth.
A wide variety of materials can be used to make the crown such as gold, or an alloy of metals fused to a porcelain, tooth coloured outer shell. All porcelain or all ceramic crowns are the best choice for a natural looking smile.
If you have missing teeth, bridges are an option that can be used to replace the missing teeth and restore your smile. Depending on your circumstances, different options are available. The most common type of bridge involves preparing the teeth on either side of the missing tooth and then fitting the bridge. This consists of crowns on either side of the space, with the false tooth fused in place between them. After a consultation with your dentist, they will be able to let you know the different options that are suitable in your circumstance.
